Meet Hector Chinea

I was born in Madrid, Spain, and moved to Miami when I was one year old. Outside of my time in the U.S. Navy, I've lived in the Greater Miami area my whole life — over 50 years now. I live in Westchester, and I'm in and out of Coral Gables and West Miami constantly, which is exactly why those are the three markets I focus on.

Before real estate, I worked as an insurance adjuster, which meant I was in and out of homes all day, every day. I'm a people person, and one day a client asked me if I knew a good real estate agent. That question stuck with me. I realized this was a chance to actually help people the way I'd been helping them as an adjuster, but with a lot more upside for both of us. I dove in, and 13 years and more than 400 sales later, it's not just my job — it's my passion.

Before any of that, I served on board the USS America in the U.S. Navy and was part of two major conflicts.

It's also why military relocation is personal to me, not just a service I offer.

What I focus on

I work with buyers and sellers across the board — first-time buyers, investors, upsizing and downsizing families, and a few specialties I've built real expertise in: probate sales, military relocation, and divorce transactions. I'm a Certified Probate Specialist and a Military Relocation Professional, and I hold a Divorce Specialist certification as well. These aren't easy transactions. They usually come with a lot going on in someone's life beyond the real estate, and I take that seriously.

Who I work best with

I work best with people navigating something complicated — settling an estate, relocating for the military, splitting a household, or trying to time an upsize or downsize just right. I'm hands-on and I like to be in the details.

Where I'm not the right fit: if you're a sight-unseen flipper looking for a purely transactional agent, that's not my lane. I like knowing the people I'm working with.

A little about me outside the office

I'm married with two sons, and our family also includes four schnauzers who run the house more than we do. I love classic cars, I fish when I get the chance, and yacht rock is pretty much always playing somewhere near me. I hold a bachelor's degree in Business, and after 50-plus years in this city, I still notice something new about it every week.
